Dream World Hodgepodge was a Pierrot title that was planned to be a follow-up to Creamy Mami before the production of Mahou no Yousei Persia was decided. Although the project never came to fruition, a pilot film was produced and later included in the Persia LD-BOX. The kappa design was reused in Persia.
Staff, according to the handbook from the Persia DVD-BOX: storyboard and direction - Kobayashi Osamu, animation direction - Kawauchi Hideo, character design - Takada Akemi. There are rumors that Itou Kazunori and Mochizuki Tomomi were involved as well.
According to another rumor, the reason for canning the TV series was the green light for production of Creamy Mami OVA Eien no Once More, and since the whole team was involved, they were no longer able to work on Dream World Hodgepodge.
