Ottilie Adrastea Hohenstaufen-Baumgartner, known as T by her classmates, is a transfer student, likely of German origin, who moved into [character=252]Kyon[/character] and [character=251]Haruhi's[/character] Class 2-5 at the start of year 1. She is a member of the Mystery Research Club, and visited the SOS Brigade in Seven Wonders Overtime. She is fond of nicknames herself, calling [character=251]Haruhi[/character] "Haru" and [character=252]Kyon[/character] "Kyam".
Despite her name, T's native language is English. She is able to speak Japanese well enough to transfer to North High, but struggles with reading the language due to its three writing systems. T supposedly has no supernatural powers, just like Kyon and other supporting characters. However, she has been able to interact with everyone in the SOS Brigade equally well.
[spoiler=спойлер]T makes her official debut in Seven Wonders Overtime, visiting the SOS Brigade to pass down literature related to the Mystery Research Club. She visits because [character=251]Haruhi[/character] had run into her at lunch break and asked if the school had seven wonders. After borrowing a book from [character=249]Yuki[/character], she leaves.[/spoiler]
[spoiler=спойлер]T knows [character=256]Tsuruya[/character] from a young age, having first met each other during one of their respective families' business trips. She has photographic evidence of their first encounter. In Tsuruya's Challenge, it is revealed that [character=256]Tsuruya[/character] had been eavesdropping on the SOS Brigade's attempts to solve the mystery from the three e-mails she sent them, as part of her collaboration with the Mystery Research Club for their attraction at the upcoming cultural festival.
