A French noble from the 15th century.
He repeatedly committed acts of abducting neighborhood boys one after another in his own domain, sexually abusing them and killing them.
He is later known as the model of folklore "Bluebeard."

He was originally strong of faith, but after Jeanne d'Arc was executed as a heretic he fell into despair and lost sight of God.
His evil deeds were meant as proof that God didn't exist, as God should punish bad acts.

Gilles de Rais is not a legitimate mage and doesn't have any training in magecraft, but his grimoire uses magecraft for him.

In order to help make some extra money due to financial problems, Gilles got involved with his friend, a priest named François Prelati, and did some alchemy. But at some point he forgot about his original focus and started trying to summon a demon.

There was worry that Gilles would start selling his territories to the enemy to raise money, so his evil deeds were used as an excuse to forfeit his lands, and he was put to death. The attacks on his treacherous evil deeds and blasphemy were nothing more than political theater.

He praised God too much, and as a result, began to doubt. He is a man that became obsessed with cursing God and denouncing Him. In the end, he met his own ruin without God judging him.
Only a Master that displays understanding of his passion and despair can command him as a Servant.
