From what we understand, the film is set in the eighth century, during China’s Tang dynasty. The story draws inspiration from real historical battles, which pitted Chinese forces against the Islamic Abbasid Caliphate and Tibetan Empire in Central Asia. (c)

The story is adapted from a novel titled "Shuo Feng Fei Yang", which takes us into an intense battle against the backdrop of medieval China.
Still in production, the film is mainly made with very high quality 2D animations and CG implementations, for a very impressive result, at least for the sequences shown in the trailer. (c)
