Indeed a worthy anime. Although mostly because of its characters. But I am not a fan of romantics. I do not mind any genre if a piece of art does contain some kind of philosophic message or idea (or at least pseudo-philosopic). So for me to rate an anime as a piece of art with the highest grade (9/10, since no anime deserves 10/10 as for myself), anime has to contain one, well, perhaps with a few exceptions. And Steins;Gate does not fit that criterion. As I have already written, I am a fan of neither romantics nor Sci-Fi, hence only 8.5/10 rounded to 8/10.

Well, that's a lot of my favourite SUFFERING.

A great sequel to my favourite Isekai. Even more suffering and, finally, some plot (not a joke!). And that is a great leap forward, for the first season of Re:Zero was secretive to the lore of the world of the series, or, should I say, even esoteric. The first season didn't tell you almost anything of the powers of Subaru, the witches and the history of the world, giving you very small bits of information, on the basis of which you could only have tried to make assumptions about the universe of Re:Zero. Some considered this bad, a few even thought that the lore of Re:Zero be under-developed, which is not truth, by the way; moreover, of all the anime fantasy Isekais of recent years watched by myself (almost every one of them), only Overlord (the first anime TV series I watched and my second favourite Isekai after Re:Zero) may compare to Re:Zero in terms of deepness of the lore (perhaps, the lore of Overlord is even deeper, but it doesn't really matter - you've got the point). The graphics suffered a little from the quarantine, yet it isn't critical, and for the same reason the second season of the anime was split on two parts, so this one doesn't have a proper ending, which is, of course, not good.
In conclusion 8.5/10, but I just can't rate it with the same score as Evangelion or Howl's Moving Castle, especially considering all the problems of this season. Hence, rounding to 8/10.

Excellent as always. Now, I feel like I need to rewatch the entire second season of this show in order to grasp it proprely. This is the kind of shows that, I think, rather lose from being shown by an episode once a week: you forget a lot of the events of the previous episode in the time you watch the next one. Nevertheless, 8/10.

Nothing extraordinary but still a decent anime; quite enjoyable and easy-to-watch. But apart from that, there is nothing I can say about it, therefore only 7-7.5/10.
