Magnus was a good guy all long, had some major keikakus to make it so Raishin and Nadeshiko survived the extermination of the Akabanes. This was heavily implied since many volumes ago so whatever.
Yaya sacrifices her life to revive Raishin's sister Nadeshiko.
Yaya is also then brought back to life.
Shouko revives Rutherford.
Frey and Shin were also not dead all along.
Griselda, who was also heavily implied to have died in Volume 15, was actually was fine too.
Raishin forgives the witch who exterminated his faimily and tried to kill him numerous times because reasons.
Raishin lets Edmund live and escape despite the fact that he killed the king, almost destroyed the Academy and the entire city, tried to murder him AND his friends many times, and is actively trying to start a World War, because.
Gold Rose, who died in like Volume 10(?) or so, is brought back to life and also killed in the span of like 10 pages.
Raishin had previously sold his heart/soul to Black Rose in exchange for her giving him the strenght to fight at the end of Volume 15, which lead to a surprisingly brutal scene of Black Rose ripping Raishin's heart out with her bare hands, but at the end of 16-2 she cancels her contract with the condition that Raishin will join the Rose Society.
Shouko was going to use Gold Rose's magic ooze to research a way to turn Frey, Loki and Alice into normal humans again so they can happily with normal lifespans
Nadeshiko also had basically NO screentime despite being one of the biggest plot points in the series. She only gets like 5 lines of dialogue at the very end.
Basically Raishin gets to have his cake and eat it too. The scene where Yaya dies is super sad and emotional, but she gets brought back right away so fuck it. There were no consequences nor sacrifices for anything.
